Week 35 - whoopssss... counting down!!

Mummy's weight.... erm don't really want to weigh now after having lots of pineapple tarts and kueh lapis and kueh baulu =S  hehe update again after Sat's gynae visit!! =P

Jialet.  Mummy REALLY needs someone to "kick" her before she starts to prepare herself for babyhood and mummyhood!! =S alright, thanks to my mum, sister, bro-in-law and close friends =P not including your daddy cos I think he is also living in his own world =P  finally we got down to settle a few stuffs =P

1) Baby clothes

Finally we got down to sorting out all the bags of baby clothes =P (after Grandma's multiple nags to wash all the clothes, and even 5mth preggy Auntie Olea is already preparing her new born clothes, what are the 8mth preggy parents doing???? =S) ok. nothing =P

We are lucky to have some hand-me-downs from your auntie olea's colleagues =P and lots of freebies from all the KKH antenatal talks.. and recently Mummy's Auntie also gave some clothes from Disney! =P  hehe see how loved are you, even before you are born =))  wow turned out that we have collected one big bag of clothes =P not forgetting your daddy, who has also bought u some clothes with Mothercare vouchers =)

2) Baby cot

we have been looking at the cots for so many months now! (when we were in KKH for antenatal class every week since Oct 10, we looked at the cots for almost every week =S)  and guess what? until now we have not put our foot down to buy you your bed =S  oppsss.. ok ok we finally made our decision =D

3) Baby Music

After contemplating for a loooooong time, I finally got Bach for Baby's Brain 2 weekends ago at Mothercare (KKH).  Hehe it is said to soothe the baby and calm you down =P heh mummy has uploaded in the office PC, downloaded in her HP, playing it in Daddy's car, only leaving the room stereo system =P  or maybe the HP will work just fine while i apply soothing oil and stretch mark cream =P

hmmm i shd start watching the 十万个为什么 dvd soon =P should build up my general knowledge before baby bombs me with questions i cannot answer =S

4) Baby's essentials

After Grandma's numerous nags, Daddy and Mummy decided to head to the Baby shop to get all the other essentials (ie nappies, towels, powder, rash cream, washcloth, bottle brushes and whatnots)  wow the total bill came up to $130!! =S  not counting all the detergent and baby 2-in-1 wash (yes there is a difference b/w 2-in-1 and normal bath and shampoo. since BB has little hair, we decided to keep things simple and get a 2-in-1 =P in case blur daddy and mummy use the wrong cleaning agent on the wrong parts =P) and this trip to NTUC cost us another $80 =S

5) Mummy's nursing clothes and underwear (yes, required after 7th month when the tummy balloons =P)

Daddy bought mummy some nursing nightwear and underwear every since mummy's body is undergoing lots and lots of changes.  Bigger "front" and bigger "back" opps... bigger everywhere. hai running out of clothes to wear already... need to borrow Daddy's T-shirts very soon =P else I think you will kick me even more often =S hehe shall not suffocate u further =P

6) Mummy's massage after your delivery (yes yes Auntie Ching was giving me the deadly look when she knew i havent engaged one =S)

Yes! finally Mummy has put her foot/feet down and called the contact given to me MONTHS ago =P hehe now I don't know what took me so long to call the lady =S oh well whatever, as long as I have secured her services after my delivery =P  hehe Your daddy wants mummy to be back in shape so going for 2 weeks massage and wrap =S erm i seriously wonder if i can tahan such long massages and numerous hours of Wraps =S erm... see how =P

7) Mummy's water retention

Mummy finally know what is water retention.  It is when Mummy has problems taking off her wedding ring.  Her watch is tighter than usual, and her working shoes don't seem to fit her anymore =S  I'm sure this has got nothing to do with the numerous pineapple tarts over the last week.... ok. Mummy has got water retention in her hands and feet.  the Countdown begins!!! =)

8) Mummy's tummy is like a war field =S

And yes.... mummy knows you have not enough space inside already... but you really needn't move around as if you are fighting with someone right.... better get your Daddy to supervise (aka putting his big hand over you so that you will calm down and not move around so vigorously!!) you =D

oh yes... reality has finally hit Daddy and Mummy... you are arriving very soon! hahaha cant wait to see you already =)
